Terms of service

These terms govern your use of uniqueness (the "service"), operated by Janit Singh, a sole proprietor based in Pune, Maharashtra, India. By creating an account you agree to them.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older to create an account.
- Give accurate details and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One person, one account. Creating extra accounts to farm free credits or referral commission is grounds for closing all of them.
Acceptable use
You keep full ownership of the videos you upload and the captions you produce. In return, do not use the service to process content that:
- you do not have the rights to;
- is unlawful under Indian law, or depicts the sexual abuse of children;
- harasses, defames or incites violence against anyone;
- attempts to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
We may suspend an account that does any of the above, and will tell you why.
Credits and plans
- Captioning is charged in minutes of source video. A 45-second clip costs 45 seconds.
- Re-styling, re-timing and re-exporting the same clip costs nothing extra — you pay once per minute of source video.
- Credits from one-time packs do not expire.
- Monthly plan minutes reset each billing cycle and do not roll over.
- If a render fails, the credit it used is returned to your account automatically.
- Free accounts get 3 minutes and exports carry a watermark.
Availability
The service is provided on an "as available" basis. We aim to keep it running but do not promise uninterrupted access — it depends on third parties (Google, Groq, Razorpay, Render) that can have outages of their own. Speech-to-text is automated and its accuracy varies with audio quality, accent and background noise; captions are a starting point you can edit, not a guaranteed transcript.
We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue something you have paid for, we will refund the unused portion.
Liability
To the extent Indian law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost views, lost revenue or lost content. Keep your own copies of anything you care about.
Ending your account
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time from Settings, or by emailing janitsingh05@gmail.com. Refunds are covered in our refund policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Pune, Maharashtra, India.
